Both gold filled and gold plated jewelry are made by applying a thin layer of gold over a base metal. Gold filled jewelry is more standardized and must contain at least 5% gold, whereas gold plated jewelry can contain any amount of gold (usually the absolute thinnest layer possible). This option is the happy medium between high quality jewelry without breaking the bank.

They are also the most durable and long-lasting option, as they are heavier and more resistant to wear and tear than other types of gold chains. Solid gold chains are also hypoallergenic for most people and can be a good investment because the value of gold is increasing.

Sterling silver is 92.5% silver and 7.5% alloy. This 7.5% is usually made of copper or zinc. The addition of these other metals makes sterling silver significantly stronger and more durable. This option is ideal for clients who like the look of silver rather than yellow gold.

WHAT IS PERMANENT JEWELRY?
We custom fit a chain to your wrist, neck, ankle, finger, or waist. We then use a welder for an easy and painless process. Instead of using a clasp we use a tiny jump ring to connect and weld the two ends of the chain, turning it into a "permanent" piece of jewelry.
DO I NEED AN APPOINTMENT TO GET ONE?
We custom fit a chain to your wrist, neck, ankle, finger, or waist. We then use a welder for an easy and painless process. Instead of using a clasp we use a tiny jump ring to connect and weld the two ends of the chain, turning it into a "permanent" piece of jewelry. Yes, we are a by appointment only studio. A $20 non-refundable deposit is required to schedule your appointment. This deposit will be applied towards your total cost on the day of your appointment as long as you don't cancel within 48 hours. If an appointment is missed or canceled less than 48 hours of your sceduled time, you will forfeit the deposit. Walk-Ins are only allowed at our events. See our event schedule below.
HOW MANY PEOPLE CAN YOU SEE AT A TIME?
The appointment time slots are 20 minutes. This gives us enough time to consult, do the application, and go over care instructions. Each person needs to create their own appointment. If you are coming as a group, please email atelierbrowdesign@gmail.com so we can accomodate better for your party.
HOW DO I REMOVE MY CHAIN?
You can cut off the jump ring we used to weld if you need to remove the jewelry. Keep your chain and charms so you're able to get then re-welded in the future.
DO YOU OFFER REPAIRS OR ADJUSTMENTS?
Repairs and re-welds of our chains are $15.
WHAT IS THE WARRANTY?
We ensure your piece is fully welded on you and there is no issues with the chain the day of your appointment.
If enough pressure is applied to the chain or if it gets caught somewhere, the chain can break. Get in touch with the studio or responsible artist if you need a repair. We don't offer replacements on broken or lost pieces. If your piece is lost you will need to purchase a replacement.
